Overview of Tokyo Xtreme Racer
The main focus of Genki's unique street racing series, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, is illegal street racing on Tokyo's urban highway system. The game recreates the underground street racing scene of Japan by emphasizing intense one-on-one confrontations at night instead of racing on traditional racetracks.
Core Game Features
Spirit Point System (SP)
The Spirit Point system is Tokyo Xtreme Racer's most unique mechanism. Instead of a race to the finish line, each race is a psychological battle:
- The SP stat reflects the control and confidence of both racers.
- When you crash, fall behind, or make a mistake, your SP will decrease.
- Your opponent's SP will decrease faster when you force them to make mistakes.
- When a racer's SP reaches 0, the race ends.
Instead of rewarding reckless speed, our approach rewards precision, consistency, and intelligent pressure.
Unlimited Highway Racing
Inspired by real-world Tokyo highways, races are held on interconnected highways. The experience is natural and engaging as you are free to move across the map, find opponents, and start the race by flashing your headlights.
Driving and Racing Tips
Choose the Right Car from the Start
- For beginners, a lighter car will offer better handling.
- Avoid starting with a car that's too powerful as it will be harder to control.
- Instead of focusing solely on top speed, balance handling and speed.
Memorize the Highways
- To overtake, remember long straight stretches.
- To avoid losing SP points, slow down slightly before sharp turns.
- To increase speed, take advantage of areas with less traffic.
